Job summary

Sante Health System is seeking a full-time Procedure Scheduler to join our Fresno, CA team. The role coordinates and schedules patient procedures efficiently and maintains provider schedules.

The position requires NextGen and Epic experience, medical terminology knowledge, and insurance expertise, with the ability to manage a heavy daily workload in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent surgery or procedure scheduling experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer experience.
• NextGen and Epic experience required.
• Insurance expertise required.
• Ability to manage a heavy daily workload.
• Strong multitasking skills.
• Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Book, coordinate and reschedule patients' consultations and procedure appointments.
• Greet patients in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner; verify insurance coverage.
• Print and register daily referrals from fax queue and Epic; sort and file patient records.
• Check out patients with provider in office; assist with follow-up appointments and equipment/supplies maintenance.
• Schedule consults and mail out packets based on provider volume.
• Review weekly screenings and recalls for scheduling.
