Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking an Implement & Coding Consultant to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of Corporate Medical Policy coding strategies across the enterprise. This hybrid role requires 1–2 days in-office weekly with flexibility for alternate locations within commuting distance.

You will assess policies, optimize coding approaches, and communicate with clinical and operations stakeholders while supporting the Medical Policy Research team.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with at least 5 years in medical policy.
• Experience leading large, multi-stakeholder regional or enterprise projects.
• CPC certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of policy coding strategies across the enterprise.
• Assess factors to identify and evaluate options for specific policies and coding approaches.
• Optimize coding solutions balancing clinical, systems, cost, and provider relations elements.
• Communicate and monitor execution with clinical and operations stakeholders.
• Support Medical Policy Research through coding guidance and document maintenance.
• Lead meetings and coordinate weekly Coding & Implementation discussions.
