Job summary

Asante in Oregon seeks a Staff Radiation Physicist to perform medical physics QA, calibration, and consultation, contributing to dosimetric treatment plans under supervision by the Radiation Oncologist. You will help develop and implement new radiation oncology techniques, ensuring safety and effective collaboration with the oncology team.

A Master’s or PhD in medical physics is required, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in medical physics or equivalent with clinical training required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, clinical oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, and radiation safety.
• Expertise in developing optimal treatment plans and radiation therapy processes.
• Experience with health care informatics, data systems, and clinical guidelines.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and the oncology team.
• Independent, disciplined, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Familiar with radiation safety principles and Oregon regulations.
• Ability to read and implement treatment protocols.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medical Physics QA and calibration tasks, and provide consultation.
• Contribute to production of dosimetric treatment plans under radiation oncologist supervision.
• Support development and implementation of new radiation oncology techniques and modalities.
• Collaborate with Radiation Oncology team to ensure quality and safety.
