Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Johnstown, PA is seeking a medical physicist to join the Department of Radiation Oncology. The candidate will work under Dr. Saiful Huq and contribute to clinical radiotherapy services, QA, and device calibration within a large network.

Requirements include an MS or PhD in physics or medical physics; ABR/ABMP certification preferred but not required. Expect in-person work with some home-based days and relocation support for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Physics or Medical Physics.
ABR/ABMP Certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or Therapy Medical Physics is preferred but not required.
Must meet qualified expert criteria defined by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or Pennsylvania State regulatory agency.

Responsibilities

Join a team providing all aspects of clinical medical physics services including regular quality assurance testing of radiotherapy equipment and treatment delivery processes.
Dosimetric calibration of radiation therapy equipment.
Maintaining compliance with PA radiation safety and licensing regulations.
Providing routine clinical support, implementation of 4DCT and gated radiation therapy.
