Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a physicist to work under the Chief Medical Physicist in radiation oncology physics and safety control across cancer treatments and diagnostics. You will provide technical direction of dosimetrists, therapists, engineers, and support staff to ensure accurate and safe use of radiation generated by machines and radioactive materials.

The role supports PIH Health Whittier Hospital and affiliated facilities within the regional network, contributing to high-quality patient care

The physicist will work under the supervision of Chief Medical Physicist and provide assistance in all aspects of practices in radiation oncology physics and radiation safety control which include technical direction of dosimetrists, radiation therapists, therapy equipment service engineers, and miscellaneous support staff and assure the accurate and safe uses of radiation generated by machines and radioactive materials in cancer treatments and in diagnostic procedures.
