CTSI Employees

Work at the clinic site, collaborating with Cancer Care Leadership to ensure high-quality, safe radiation oncology services. Responsible for delivering high-quality radiation therapy, providing staff education and training, and overseeing safety practices. Support patient safety and demonstrate Family-Centered Care principles in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  1. Calibrate dose meters and radiation equipment; perform beam data acquisition for treatment planning.
  2. Prepare data for treatment planning systems and improve dosimetry protocols and software.
  3. Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations.
  4. Participate in organizational performance improvement activities and develop policies and standards.
  5. Assist in acceptance testing and commissioning of new and existing radiation machines.
  6. Perform treatment planning, dosimetry calculations, and reviews.
  7. Provide physics consultation regarding patient care and treatment.
  8. Verify treatment planning system and collaborate with IT for software management.
  9. Assist in planning and shielding calculations for new facilities.
  10. Interpret regulatory changes and document updates for departmental integration.
  11. Perform dosimetry checks following source changes and assist with source selection and acquisition.
  12. Participate in clinical education, training, and competency assessments for staff.

Qualifications :

  • Willing to relocate to Springfield, MO or surrounding area.
  • MS or PhD in Medical Physics or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience plus CAMPEP-accredited residency.
  • Passed Part-I and possibly Part-II ABR Exams (preferred).
  • Experience with HDR and SRS programs (preferred).
  • Experience with patient record systems is desirable.
  • Certification in Radiation Oncology Physics by ABR or equivalent; candidates must be eligible for certification if not already certified.
  • Must obtain and maintain relevant State licensing/registration.

Position requires full access to client sites, meeting vendor credentialing requirements, including ID proof, background checks, immunizations, and health training.
