HCT Staffing seeks a Medical Physicist for HDR brachytherapy at our Odessa, TX location. The candidate must be proficient with Oncentra Brachytherapy, Nucletron afterloaders, and planning/treatment of single and multi-channel cylinders, tandems, and rings.

Experience with Varian linear accelerators and MOSAIQ, Eclipse TPS, and RAM licensing is essential. You will collaborate with physicians during simulation, perform QA, and ensure thorough documentation.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Medical Physics from CAMPEP accredited program.
• ABR board certification (or equivalent).
• Full Texas licensure for medical physics.
• HDR planning and treatment experience.
• Ability to be added to RAM license.
• Experience with SRS, SBRT and HDR.

Mansioni

• Plan and treat HDR cases independently, ensuring proper documentation.
• Communicate with physicians during patient simulation.
• Perform QA and verify treatment parameters.
• Collaborate with the medical team for safe and effective treatments.
• Occasional travel to Midland, TX (20 miles) as needed.

Our client provides a full range of external beam radiation therapy procedures.

Equipment in use at the Odessa location includes: Varian TrueBeam, GE RT Lightspeed CT scanner, Elekta microSelectron HDR, Oncentra TPS for HDR treatment planning, Eclipse TPS, MOSAIQ ROIS, RadCalc, Mapcheck3, SNC Routine, IC Profiler, and 3DS scanning system.

NOTE: Must be proficient in Oncentra Brachytherapy (T&O and Cylinders) from act sim to treatment.

Physicist must be walking HDR experience.

Specifically, the candidate needs experience with Nucletron Afterloaders and Oncentra Treatment Planning System with experience PLANNING AND TREATING single and multi-channel cylinders and tandem and ring patients.

We cannot accept someone that cannot communicate with the physician during patient simulation, independently plan an HDR case, QA and treat the patient, and ensure everything is documented correctly.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in Medical physics from an accredited college or universityGraduate from a CAMPEP accredited residency programABR board certification (or equivalent)Full Texas licensureHDR planning and treatment experienceThe ability to be added to the RAM licenseExperience with SRS, SBRT, and HDRStrong organization and oral / written communication skillsThe ability to travel on an occasion, as needed, basis to support the sister clinic in midland, Texas (20 Miles)
