  • Assist with the development, implementation, and review of Radiation Protection Programs and related procedures for medical clients.
  • Attend Radiation Safety Committee meetings for hospital‑based clients, as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting occupational radiation dosimetry data.
  • Help prepare consultation reports and corrective action recommendations for exposures exceeding ALARA thresholds.
  • Support incident response activities involving potential or actual radiation exposure, contamination, or loss of radioactive material.
  • Work closely with Radiation Safety Officers, regulatory agencies, physicists, and operational staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need

  • Prior experience with QC phantom testing, diagnostic imaging equipment, or regulatory document management is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of diagnostic x‑ray, fluoroscopic, and/or nuclear medicine equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with NYC and New York State radiation regulations, ACR standards, and Joint Commission requirements is preferred.
  • Interest in continuing education and professional growth in radiation safety, health physics, and diagnostic medical physics.
  • Willingness to progress toward serving as a Radiation Safety Officer or supporting RSO functions for clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer‑based documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to client‑specific needs.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a professional, client‑focused approach.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between client sites throughout the NYC metropolitan area.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, quality, and excellent client service.
