Job summary
The Specialty Alliance is seeking a qualified Medical Physicist to join our Phoenix metro area radiation oncology group. You will support a multi-site practice with diverse equipment, ensuring safety and clinical excellence across all procedures.
You will collaborate with 4 physicists and dosimetrists, contribute to QA programs, and assist in implementing adaptive planning and new technology to advance patient care.
Qualifications
- Board Certification or Board eligibility by the American Board of Radiology, or equivalent.
- Master’s Degree, or PhD, in Medical Physics or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in radiation oncology physics preferred.
- Familiarity with Varian and Accuray products desirable.
- Experience in adaptive planning and theranostics beneficial.
- Proficient in radiation physics, dosimetry, and operation of clinic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality control tests per AAPM and industry standards.
- Review treatment planning and weekly chart notes.
- Participate in radiation safety measures.
- Assist in implementing new technology and/or equipment.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure safe and effective use of radiation.
