Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certifications required or obtainable on the job.
• Medication administration experience or training preferred.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications.

• Maintains accurate medical records and supports health education and discharge planning.

Description of Position:The Medical Personnel of Serenity Hills are responsible for all medical aspects of the Detoxification day-to-day operation; and the health and medical aspects of the Halfway House Program as indicated. May occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. and rarely up to 25 lbs. Must be able to work extended periods at a computer and occasionally drive a vehicle.High school diploma or GED required.Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.Successful completion of a criminal background check.Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications.One year of education and/or experience in the chemical dependency or mental health field preferred.Current South Dakota licensure/certification as an LPN, EMT, or CNA preferred.The Board of Directors of the Human Service Agency shall have the prerogative to hire staff whose qualifications may vary from the above.
