Job summary

OptiMed Health Partners is seeking a Medical Packer to support the Inventory Fulfillment team by accurately weighing, packing, labeling, and organizing medical supplies for shipment to patients across the country. This role follows established packing procedures to ensure correct supplies reach patients in good condition and on time.

You will work with inventory, shipping, and pharmacy teams in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of general work experience preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Ability to inspect products and packaging materials for quality and accuracy.
• General understanding of packing and shipping practices preferred.
• Ability to complete basic counting, measuring, weighing, and data-entry tasks.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and package-processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Packing & Fulfillment: count, measure, weigh supplies; construct and seal containers; apply labels; stack packages for shipping.
• Quality Control & Documentation: inspect containers and products; ensure packing/shipping requirements are met; enter data into records.

The Impact of this Role:

The Medical Packer supports the Inventory Fulfillment team by accurately and safely preparing medical supplies for shipment to patients across the country. This role is responsible for weighing, packing, labeling, and organizing products while consistently following established packing procedures and quality standards. Through careful attention to detail and dependable execution, the Medical Packer helps ensure patients receive the correct supplies in appropriate condition and on time.

What You’ll be Doing:

Packing & Fulfillment

• Count, measure, and weigh medical supplies and products.
• Construct, line, and pad cartons, crates, and other shipping containers using appropriate hand tools.
• Pack products according to established procedures and order requirements.
• Seal containers and packaged materials using hand tools, fasteners, tape, or adhesive materials.
• Mark and apply labels to containers, tags, and products accurately.
• Stack completed packages in designated shipping areas for pickup.

Quality Control & Documentation

• Examine containers, products, and materials for accuracy, condition, and quality.
• Ensure all packing and shipping requirements are met before orders leave the fulfillment area.
• Enter packing, order, and product information into required forms, records, systems, or other documents.
• Follow all applicable policies and procedures when handling and packaging medical supplies.

Equipment & Material Handling

• Load products and materials into package-processing equipment.
• Transport completed packages to loading areas, shipping stations, or other designated locations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Medical Packer: Works closely with members of the Inventory Fulfillment and Shipping teams to prepare medical supplies for timely and accurate delivery to patients. This role may also coordinate with inventory, pharmacy, and operational team members to resolve product, order, or packaging concerns.
