Job summary

ESPO Corporation in Huntley, IL is seeking a Packaging Design Engineer to lead thermoformed medical packaging design from concept to production. You will work onsite to translate customer needs into manufacturable, compliant sterile packaging solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive risk management and successful commercialization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in packaging or related engineering field.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Design thermoformed sterile packaging products from concept through production using CAD.
Translate customer and regulatory specs into compliant packaging designs.
Develop 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings for medical packaging.
Utilize 3D scanning and printing for prototypes and validation.
Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Tool Design, and Production teams.
Ensure designs meet FDA, ISO 13485, GMP requirements and packaging validation plans.
