Job summary

AES invites an Optometrist to join a busy, well-established ophthalmology and optometry practice with a strong patient base in the Valley. You will inherit a thriving, high-volume schedule and long-standing patient relationships from day one.

The ideal candidate has a Doctor of Optometry degree, maintains an active Arizona license, and delivers exceptional, patient-centered care while collaborating with a team across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted Arizona optometry license.
• Strong diagnostic, clinical and communication skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records; ModMed preferred.
• Commitment to patient-centered care.
• Prior ophthalmology/medical practice experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume comprehensive medical eye exams.
• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases incl. glaucoma, cataracts.
• Prescribe corrective lenses, contacts, and therapeutic treatments.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and prevention.
• Document accurately using ModMed EMR.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and staff for continuity of care.
• Deliver compassionate, professional patient experiences.
• Stay current with advancements in eye care and tech.
