Midwest Ophthalmology Partners in Illinois seeks a Doctor of Optometry (OD) to join a premier multi-specialty ophthalmology practice as a Medical Optometrist. You will perform full-scope medical eye care in close collaboration with six ophthalmologists and subspecialists across multiple clinic locations in Southern Illinois, using advanced diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
• Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Optometrist in Illinois.
• Residency: Ocular disease residency training preferred, or equivalent medical optometry experience.
• Clinical focus: Strong interest and proven expertise in diagnosing and managing complex ocular pathology.
• Communication: Excellent patient care, interpersonal, and communication skills to work within a multi-specialty team.

Responsibilities

• Full-Scope Medical Care: Diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide variety of complex ocular diseases at the highest level of medical optometry.
• Specialist Collaboration: Working closely with 6 multi-specialty ophthalmologists and subspecialists to co-manage complex medical cases.
• Multi-Location Engagement: Traveling to multiple established clinic locations throughout Southern Illinois using a company-provided vehicle.
• Modern Infrastructure: Utilizing cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment technology to deliver exceptional care.
• Teamwork & Continuity: Partnering with a skilled clinical and administrative staff to maintain efficient patient flow within an established referral network.
