Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an Entry-Level Claims position to provide administrative, claim and customer support. The role is office-based for the first year and will transition to a hybrid schedule thereafter, offering exposure to claim handling in a collaborative environment.

You will learn to communicate with claimants and clients, set reserves, process payments, document activity, and support fair disposition of claims while building analytical and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience.
• Licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled.
• Knowledge of claims investigation, settlement procedures, state laws and industry standards.
• Proficient with computer software used for claims processing.

Overview

• Make a difference by communicating effectively with claimants and clients to build relationships and make connections.


• Accurately set reserves, make payments and document file activity by working with clients, claimants, vendors, field personnel and other internal or external resources.


• Provide fair, equitable and timely claim disposition, consistent with our standards.


• Use analytical skills to make decisions and resolve issues inherent in handling claims.

About You

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED


• Minimum of 1 years related experience required


• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled


• Knowledge of claims investigation, settlement procedures, applicable state laws and accepted industry standards and practices


• Computer experience with related claims and business software.
