Position: Medical Oncology Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Are you passionate about supporting pets and their families through every stage of cancer care? Whether driven by personal experience or a strong interest in veterinary oncology, this team develops strong bonds with our patients and clients, requiring compassion and excellent patient care. Medical Oncology technicians thrive in a fast-paced environment, can multitask, develop excellent venipuncture skills, have high attention to detail, and gain experience in chemotherapy treatments.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assist in chemotherapy protocols
  2. Drug calculations related to treatment plans
  3. Maintain vertical flow hood
  4. Participate in clinical studies/trials
  5. Administer chemotherapy requiring excellent venipuncture skills and IV catheter placement
  6. Coordinate and manage client communication and education via phone and email
  7. Accurate and thorough documentation in medical records
  8. Assist doctors with examinations and minor procedures
  9. Monitor and manage patient sedation

Qualifications:

  • State Registered Veterinary Technician license
  • Prior veterinary experience; oncology experience preferred
  • Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
