Job summary

Intermountain Health in Montana is seeking a Medical Oncology Physician to join a team focused on hematologic care and oncology services at St. James Hospital in Butte.

The role supports a 4-day work week (4/0s) with alternating Fridays with the Advanced Practice Provider, emphasizing quality patient care and clinical trials. Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school.
• Residency training in Internal Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline.
• Active Montana medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.

Responsibilities

• Provide hematology/oncology care in the cancer center.
• Perform bone marrow biopsies, consultations, disease diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Manage a patient base of adults, 25–30 per day.
• Potential for medical directorship and participation in clinical trials.
• Utilize EPIC EMR system.

St. James Cancer Program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons.

Competitive Compensation

Competitive Compensation: $600,000 plus the potential to earn more with a production incentive.

Incentives: $25,000 starting bonus, up to $20,000 relocation bonus (if applicable), potential for a residency stipend up to $36,000 (if applicable) and up to $100,000 student loan repayment bonus (if applicable). We’re also PSLF eligible!

Schedule

You will practice at St. James Hospital. Schedule: 4-day work week (4/0s), alternating Fridays with the Advanced Practice Provider.

Focus

Will be to provide care in the cancer center with a primary emphasis on hematological care and a mix of oncology.

Procedures

Bone marrow biopsies, consultations, disease diagnosis, and treatment planning. Manage a patient base of adults (primarily over 65), 25-30 patients a day.

Potential for medical directorship. Opportunity to partake in clinical trials. EPIC EMR utilization (system-wide).
