Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Connecticut.
• Certification as PA, or National Board Certification as FNP, ANP, or AGPCNP required.
• Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient management and triage in an ambulatory setting for oncology patients.
• Engage in chemotherapy education and oversee infusion follow-up appointments.
• Contribute to the development of a comprehensive cancer program.

Oncology Physician Assistant’s and Nurse Practitioners provide value-based care in an ambulatory setting, and will be involved in triage and the spectrum of outpatient management including, but not limited to the following: Benign hematology visits, sick/urgent visits, chemotherapy education/teach visits, bone marrow aspirations, overseeing infusion follow up appointments, and ongoing survivorship care.

Schedule: Full Time: - 4 day work week is an option

Qualifications

• Eligibility to be licensed in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), is required.
• Eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant (PA), or National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) is required.
