Job summary

MultiCare Cancer Institute, part of MultiCare Health System, seeks a Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join a well-established practice. You’ll provide patient-centered cancer care within a multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based treatments and survivorship planning in a day shift.

You will collaborate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists and social workers, using EMR for documentation and advancing quality improvement initiatives across the cancer program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current ARNP certification and licensure in Washington State.
• DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide oncology treatment care, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted agents.
• Assess and manage treatment-related symptoms and side effects.
• Coordinate care across disciplines with education and survivorship planning.
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and other specialists.
• Order, interpret and follow up on diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Guide follow-up care, medication regimens, and lifestyle changes.
• Participate in tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives.
• Document encounters and decisions in the EMR.
• Stay current with oncology guidelines and emerging therapies.

Education
