Epic Care in Pleasant Hill/Emeryville is recruiting a Certified APP (NP or PA) to join our medical oncology service line on a full-time basis. Oncology experience is preferred; training is available for motivated candidates. Bilingual abilities in Spanish, Mandarin or Cantonese are valued.

The position emphasizes inpatient and outpatient hematology/medical oncology care, patient education, and collaboration with healthcare teams. CA NP/PA licensure and DEA registration are required.

Qualifications

• Oncology experience preferred but not required.
• Must hold an active NP and PA licensure in California.
• Prescriptive authority and active DEA license required.
• Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese language skills preferred.
• Proficient with medical instruments and equipment used in practice.
• Familiarity with computer-based data management and EMR systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication with medical partners, patients and families.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide hematology & medical oncology care in inpatient and outpatient settings.

ANNUAL SALARY (DEPENDING ON SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): $145,000.00 - $175,000.00

Epic Care is seeking a Certified APP (NP or PA) to work full‑time alongside our dedicated team of health care professionals in our medical oncology service line. Oncology experience is preferred but not necessary, we are willing to train motivated individuals as an oncology nurse practitioner. Medical Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin language skills are preferred.

Location: Pleasant Hill & Emeryville

Responsibilities

• Provide hematology & medical oncology specialty patient care in inpatient and outpatient care settings.
• Perform physical exams and patient observations.
• Record patient medical histories and symptoms.

• Detect changes in a patient's health and change treatment plans as necessary.
• Administer medicines and treatments.
• Evaluate responses to treatments and medications.
• Consult with healthcare professionals, participate in tumor boards.
• Train patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Oncology experience is preferred but not required. Appropriate degree from an accredited program.
• Must have an active NP and PA licensure in the state of California.
• Must have prescriptive authorization, active DEA license.
• Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese or other language is preferred.
• Must be proficient with medical instruments and equipment required by the work.
• Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as electronic medical records.
• Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians and representatives of the community.
• Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
