Job summary

AtlantiCare in New Jersey is seeking a physician to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care aligned with specialty practice objectives and organizational goals.

You will engage in quality improvement, maintain current clinical skills, participate in medical staff programs, and collaborate with leaders and staff to support teaching activities. This role reports to the VP Medical Affairs, Department Chairman and/or Medical Director.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of medicine
• License/Certification: Currently licensed to practice medicine with the State of New Jersey. Board Certification within specialty and membership on the staff of Atlantic City Medical Center. CDS and DEA registration unencumbered.
• Experience: Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physician leaders, administration and staff to improve clinical outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement efforts organization-wide and in medical staff committees.
• Maintain current technical knowledge and seek opportunities to enhance clinical practice and competency.
• Contribute to medical staff programs and teaching activities and participate in peer review to promote best practice.
