Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC in Richmond, Virginia seeks a locum Hematology & Oncology physician to provide inpatient oncology care and manage cancer patients during scheduled hours.

The assignment includes Tue–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1‑hour lunch); Mondays off, plus night and weekend call rotations. Travel to Winchester and Hagerstown clinics is required; telemedicine is not available.

Qualifications

• Active IN License or IMLC
• Board: BC in Hematology & Oncology
• DEA: Active DEA
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS required only if requesting conscious sedation privileges
• At least 2 years of experience
• Vaccinations: Flu and COVID-19 (or approved exemptions)
• Must enter work hours in the Vemsta platform
• Must complete order entry as the locum provider

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient oncology care
• Evaluate and manage oncology patients during scheduled clinical hours
• Participate in night and weekend telephone call rotation
• Collaborate with APPs and provide physician support as needed
• Travel to outreach clinic locations in Winchester and Hagerstown for scheduled coverage
• Provider must be able to provide 4 weeks coverage in a month

• Clinical Shift Schedule: Tue- Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hr unpaid lunch); Mondays off
• 4 weeks/month or FT only
• Call Schedule: Assist & Rotating Call
• Night call on some days - schedule TBD
• Weekend call; Fri 5pm - Mon 7am on rotation
• Call Type: Telephone call (provider comes to the hospital only if requested by the APP)
• Call Response Time: Telephone availability required

• Winchester clinic coverage every Wednesday
• Hagerstown clinic coverage every other Thursday (1st and 3rd Thursdays each month)
• Provider will travel between multiple practice locations
