Qualifikationen

• Active, unrestricted medical license eligible in the United States.
• Board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
• Associate-level experience in clinical hematology and oncology practice.
• Strong knowledge of current treatment guidelines and protocols.
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site practice.
• Flexibility for variable locum assignments.

Aufgaben

Description

. This on-site position offers an opportunity to provide high-quality specialized care to patients while working within a dynamic healthcare team in the medical practice industry.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Develop and implement individualized chemotherapy and targeted therapy treatment plans
• Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, imaging, and pathology results
• Manage treatment side effects and supportive care needs for oncology patients
• Conduct patient consultations and communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly
• Coordinate care with nurses, pharmacists, radiologists, and other specialists
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient medical records
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement, and tumor board activities as applicable
• Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and practice standards
• Provide end-of-life and palliative care planning with compassion and sensitivity

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or relevant specialty
• Completion of a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology
• Active and unrestricted medical license eligible for practice in the United States
• Board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
• Associate-level experience in clinical hematology and oncology practice
• Strong knowledge of current hematology and oncology treatment guidelines and protocols
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient-centered care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site medical practice environment
• Flexibility to adapt to varying locum assignments and practice workflows

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8a-5p

Inpatient call shifts required

Patient Population: Adults ages 18+

Duties: Oversight for infusion services, including management of treatment-related adverse reactions and side effects

Case Types: General medical oncology and hematology

Support Staff: APP, infusion RNs, medical assistant, a phlebotomist, and scheduler

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
