Job summary

Freeman Health System in Joplin, Missouri is recruiting a full-time BE/BC Oncologist/Hematologist to join a busy, five-oncologist group with an additional Radiation Oncologist. The role includes a competitive one-year guarantee followed by a wRVU-based model, with support for start-up bonus, relocation, and tail coverage.

The health system serves a 450,000-strong region across MO, KS, OK, and AR, offering on-site lab, Epic EMR implementation, and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Board-certified oncologist/hematologist preferred.
• Be part of a hospital-employed practice in a high-need area.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cancer care as part of an established group.
• Collaborate within an integrated health system to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
• Participate in a 1:6 call schedule, with weekend coverage.

Your Role:

• We are seeking a full-time BE/BC Oncologist/Hematologist for hospital employed position;
• Join a group of five Oncologists and one Radiation Oncologist, with an established and busy practice in an area of high need;
• Service area of 450,000 with residents from MO, KS, OK, and AR;
• Integrated health system with more than 350 physicians in 80+ specialties and growing;
• Call schedule including 1:6 weekends (Friday from 12PM to Monday at 8AM); Nurse Practitioners take First Call;
• On-site lab and board-certified Oncology Pharmacist; and,
• Competitive one-year guarantee followed by wRVU production model with no cap;

• Epic EMR coming October 2026
