Responsibilities

  • Conduct consultations for hematology and oncology patients with a focus on cancer care.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies, order labs and imaging, and coordinate follow-up.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and supportive care.
  • Participate in monthly Tumor Board meetings and multidisciplinary rounds.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, history, exam, and diagnostic review.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care and accurate documentation.

The position offers excellent benefits, and a Monday-Friday schedule with no current call or weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct consultations with 10% hematology and 90% oncology patients
  • Prescribe medications, infusions, order laboratory tests/imaging and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about their cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and supportive care resources
  • Participate in the monthly Tumor Board meetings.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
