Job summary

WellSpan Health in Ephrata, PA is seeking a Medical Oncology Physician to join a community-based, adult-focused Hematology/Oncology practice. The role features a standard outpatient schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and access to on-site infusion, radiation, and embedded palliative care.

Qualifications

• Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine or Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency.
• Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology.
• Teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Community-based general adult Hematology/Oncology practice (benign hematology, solid tumors, blood cancers).
• Outpatient schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
• Facilities: 9 shared exam rooms; infusion and radiation on-site; embedded palliative care.
• Accredited & Collaborative: CoC accredited; partnership with Johns Hopkins and Maryland Proton Center.
• Team: Fully staffed – 2.5 Medical Oncologists, 1 PRN Medical Oncologist, 3.0 APPs; hybrid model.
• Volume & Call: 14-16 patients per day; shared call-coverage model.

Job description

• Community-based general adult Hematology/Oncology practice (benign hematology, solid tumors, blood cancers)
• Facilities: 9 shared exam rooms; infusion and radiation on-site; embedded palliative care
• Accredited & Collaborative: CoC accredited; partnership with Johns Hopkins and Maryland Proton Center
• Team: Fully staffed – 2.5 Medical Oncologists, 1 PRN Medical Oncologist, 3.0 APPs. Currently supported by navigation, social work, dietary, research, and genetic counseling (hybrid model).
• Volume & Call: 14-16 patients per day, shared call-coverage model to include inpatient consults and rounding (Hospitalists admit)
• Physician-Designed Compensation Model & Competitive Signing Bonus PLUS Fellowship stipend and Educational Loan Repayment
