Universal Health Services’s Texoma Care unit seeks a Medical Office Specialist to manage front desk duties, registration, scheduling, billing, and EMR documentation with a focus on patient-friendly service.

The MOS will handle co-pays, appointments, and records while maintaining confidentiality and a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completed Medical Office Assistant/Specialist program or Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Minimum of one year of medical experience preferred.
• Reliable, responsible and detail oriented.

The Medical Office Specialist (MOS

is responsible for front desk coverage for the medical practice, which includes registration, check-in, collecting co-pays, scheduling appointments, billing patients, and scanning records into EMR, reports, and correspondence. The MOS possesses medical terminology knowledge, organization and communication skills, ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions, and professional
appearance, all while maintaining a calm disposition, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Reliable, tactful, honest, and discreet in maintaining confidentiality at all times. Must be able to carry out specific assignments to a successful conclusion.

Independence Physician Management (IPM),

a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics that align with UHS acute care facilities.
