Job summary

HCA Healthcare, through Surgery Ventures, seeks a Business Office Specialist to float between ambulatory surgery centers from Salt Lake to Orem and work from home when not traveling to centers. You will assist the Central Business Office with insurance verification and billing tasks, contributing to accurate patient admissions and scheduling.

The role emphasizes revenue cycle duties such as billing, cash posting, collections, and pre-certifications, with focus on timely, compliant processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably an ambulatory setting

Responsibilities

• You will rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities
• You will handle various business office duties to include: billing, chart preparation, cash posting, collections, insurance verification, medical records, patient registration and scheduling
• Be responsible for accurately performing all functions of your patient admissions
• Perform and document insurance pre-certification, verification and interviews for your patients prior to surgery
• You will identify coding or billing problems from EOBs and work to correct errors in a timely manner
• You will prepare accounts for rebilling
• You will file secondary insurance and send to the designated carrier with proper documentation
• Schedule your patient surgical procedures and maintain the surgery schedule

Job description

This full time position will travel between the HCA Surgery Centers From Salt Lake - Orem to provide front desk coverage as needed. When not traveling to a center, this position will work from home assisting the Central Business Office with insurance verification and billing work.
