Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a part-time Day shift assistant to support a busy medical office. Responsibilities include answering calls, greeting patients, registering and scheduling appointments, and handling patient communications via email or Epic.
The role requires accuracy in verifying insurance and patient data, collecting copayments, and providing backup across office functions while maintaining patient confidentiality and a professional appearance.
Job Description: Shift Monday - Saturday. Starting shifts vary between 7:15am-8:30am. Closing shifts vary between 4:15pm-5:30pm. The Opportunity: Performs a variety of functions in the medical office involving general duties, including but not limited to answering the telephone, communicating messages through email or Epic, greeting, registering, and scheduling patient appointments, collecting patient copayments, making appointment reminder calls, verifying insurance and other patient data is accurate, scanning and/or uploading patient information to patients electronic chart. Able to provide backup for other positions and functions in the medical office, including medical records, scheduling, insurance verification, patient referrals, etc., and the ability to float between multiple locations as assigned. Job Requirements: Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year Diploma
