Job summary

MSO Arlington Community Clinic, part of the HCA Healthcare family, seeks a Medical Office Specialist to join our team in Arlington. This full-time daytime role focuses on delivering efficient front-desk support and clerical excellence to keep patients moving smoothly through the care journey.

Responsibilities include checking in patients, scheduling, insurance verification, records management, and basic billing tasks. One to three years in a medical office and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of medical office experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience using an EHR system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients at the reception desk and answer phones.
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
  • Check-in patients and document registration.
  • Verify insurance and patient demographics.
  • File and retrieve medical records/files.
  • Copy, fax, and assist with clerical duties.
  • Collect co-pays and process payments; balance daily ledger.
  • Enter charges and maintain accurate computer records.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Full time (Monday - Friday, days), no nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays

Seeking a Medical Office Specialist for our practice who provides clerical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:
  • Work at the reception desk, answer phones, greet and communicate with patients and providers.
  • Scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments.
  • Checking in patients and properly documenting registration.
  • Insurance verification and verification of patient demographics.
  • Filing and retrieving medical records/files.
  • Copying and faxing duties.
  • Collecting co-pays and cash from patients, getting authorization on credit cards.
  • Entering charges, payments, and balancing the day on the computer.
  • Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement.
Perform Other Duties As Required.
What Qualifications you will need:

One to Three years of experience in a medical office setting is preferred

High School Diploma or GED Required

Experience Using An EHR System Is Highly Preferred

Experience working in specific specialty is preferred
