Job summary

Valor Healthcare is seeking a Medical Office Receptionist for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Northeast San Antonio. The role supports patient care through accurate data entry, appointment scheduling, and professional front-desk service to veterans.

The position operates 3 days per week (Mon/Tue/Fri), 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and generous time off in a patient-centered environment. A strong English proficiency and VA credentialing are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• Demonstrated high-quality customer service and organizational skills.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical or call center environment preferred.
• Must be credentialed and in good standing with VA.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications as required by VA contract.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administrative support related to patient care.
• Input patient information into the EMR (VISTA/CPRS where applicable).
• Verify clinical reminders are completed before checkout.
• Check patients in/out of the clinic and schedule appointments.
• Answer phones and relay messages promptly.
• Ensure compliance with I.G., JC, EOC, and lab oversight.
