Job Responsibilities
  • Greets visitors and communicates with patients and providers.
  • Coordinates workflow and maintains records of office activities.
  • Completes check-in/check-out processes.
  • Enters and updates patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Collects copay/coinsurance balances and outstanding balances from patients.
  • Prepares for appointments by completing checklists.
  • Handles phone calls, messages, and directs inquiries.
  • Keeps the office area neat and monitors supplies.
  • Responds to information requests and manages work requests.
  • Schedules referrals and notifies patients accordingly.
  • Performs other delegated tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Medical front office experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
Required Skills
  • Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in stressful environments and take appropriate actions.
