Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a Full Time Day Shift front desk/clerical assistant for the Family Medicine Center. You will perform clerical, reception, scheduling and patient financial tasks to support ambulatory care for a large outpatient population.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of ambulatory care experience, basic medical terminology knowledge, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Expect a collaborative team environment with a focus on quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years in ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Job Summary

• Performs clerical, reception, scheduling and patient financial account functions in the ambulatory care setting. Assists in coordinating primary health care services to a large outpatient client population.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent is preferred. Previous training in general medical office skills and procedures preferred. Proficient and knowledgeable of medical terminology is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One to two years of experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred. Experience may include cashier, basic account posting, billing, filing, reception, telephone, or computer operations.
