Seeking an experienced Medical Office Manager to join our Behavioral Health Network. The Office Manager will oversee day-to-day operations at the Poughkeepsie Center supporting our staff and clients through supervision of front desk operations and interaction with the individuals we serve.

Position Details
  • Title: Office Manager
  • Salary: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
  • Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 40 Hours per week
  • Supervisor: Senior Office Manager
  • Location: Poughkeepsie Behavioral Health Center
  • Center Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30am-5:30pm & Tuesday, Thursday 8:30am-7pm
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, coverage may be needed till 7pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays
Responsibilities
  1. Supervise front office staff and clinical team at the Behavioral Health Center.
  2. Oversee clerical duties including client check-in/out, copay collection, and record updates.
  3. Ensure adequate office coverage daily.
  4. Support insurance and billing coordination with the Billing team.
  5. Provide Electronic Health Record (EHR) training and support.
  6. Develop and implement office procedures and policies.
  7. Manage office supplies and reporting to the Senior Office Manager.
  8. Handle customer inquiries and complaints.
  9. Recruit, interview, and recommend candidates for office staff.
  10. Participate in staff development and training.
  11. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in human services or related field with relevant experience OR
  • 5 years of medical office experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Electronic Health Records.
  • Knowledge of Netsmart or similar EHR systems preferred.
  • Understanding of OMH regulations, HIPAA, and insurance regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, multitasking, and leadership skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
