Medical Office Assistant - Wound Care Center/Vascular

Provides routine services in a collaborative team approach in the outpatient clinics at Adirondack Health. Will work in coordination with health care teams within Adirondack Health to provide patient care that strives to achieve best practice. Will assist the physician and/or advanced practitioner as required under the direction of the RN and or Manager/Supervisor. Responsibilities include collecting patient details, vital signs, setting up and assisting with procedures, transcribing information into the EMR, answering phones, explaining policies and procedures, and handling patient queries, concerns, and complaints. Will assist in maintaining daily functioning of the center according to established policies and procedures.

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • MOA Certification/ and AAS Degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in working in a family practice setting as a receptionist or medical office assistant preferred.
  • Will be required to complete the BLS course within one year.
