Click for a complete list of Employee Benefits.The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for receptionist duties for all staff, patients and visitors for the Department of Surgery in the Vascular Division. The Medical Office Assistant will provide support services in patient insurance, billing and account maintenance under direct supervision of the Director of Administrative Operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Performs data entry entering patient information into the computerized patient care systems, particularly records and automated billing assuring accuracy of data entered for insurance/demographic information only.Assists surgery financial clearance team in monitoring the completion of patient billing & charge ticket for surgical services performed.Establishes, maintains, and updates patient financial files and activity summaries.
