Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or direct patient care experience, including but not limited to collection of patient information and data, patient interactions or assisting physicians with procedures in a medical office or hospital setting.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a walk in / primary care/ specialty care setting.
- Certified medical administrative assistant (CMAA)
- Strong clerical background with excellent computer skills
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.
Preferred:
Work Environment
- Work is performed in an office environment that requires working in proximity to other employees and patients.
- The office is air conditioned as well as heated.
- Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
- Fast‐paced environment including frequent interruptions.
- Frequent sitting, walking, standing and bending.
- Possibility of lifting of patients.
- Mobility may include access through a multi‐level facility, including climbing stairs.
- PPE‐ Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, Gloves per UHS Infection Control and CDC guidelines when appropriate.
