Arnot Health is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to support our Multispecialty Pediatric Care Team. This role involves managing front desk operations, assisting in patient care, and coordinating with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient experiences. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, preferred medical training, and are committed to compassionate care.
Join our dedicated and compassionate team Multispecialty Pediatric Care Team where we provide patient-centered care to support our pediatric patients. We’re seeking a professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to help ensure the smooth operation of our practice and provide essential support to both patients and staff. This role is an integral part of our care team, contributing to the overall patient experience and helping us deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
Your Schedule
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing daily front desk operations including check-in and check-out of patients
Preparing appointment charts, updating patient demographics, and answering incoming calls with professionalism
Scheduling follow-up appointments, obtaining insurance authorizations, and preparing test orders and patient education materials
Verifying and updating patient billing information and ensuring accurate documentation for billing purposes
Assisting in patient care activities such as taking vital signs, prepping patients for exams and procedures, phlebotomy (if trained), and supporting providers during minor procedures
Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments according to protocol
Performing ancillary tests (EKGs, spirometry, waived testing) as trained and competent
Assisting with prescription renewals, test result tracking, and medical documentation including scanning, transcription, and processing records requests
Actively participating in team meetings, quality improvement activities, and continuing education sessions focused on effective communication and patient-centered care
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred
Minimum of three years’ experience in a medical office setting preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Comfort working as part of a collaborative care team focused on population health and evidence-based practices
Experience with medical coding and billing is a plus
