Pay for this position is $17.60/hour.

This is an Hourly position.

Overview

***Eligible for a Sign-On Bonus!***

$1,500 for external candidates and internal new graduates with less than 2 years of experience.

$2,000 for external candidates with 2 or more years of experience.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Medical Office Assistants perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training, and experience.

They work in both clinical and front office functions of the practice, providing clerical support and assisting in healthcare delivery and patient care activities.

The duties performed depend on the specific needs of the practice.

Satellite clinic locations include Bloomington, Urbana, Moline, Ottawa, and Springfield.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience: Minimum of six months’ experience with computers, Microsoft Office, and email.
  • Minimum of 6 months’ clinical experience in a healthcare facility.
  • OR clinical education (including current enrollment or completion of OSF Medical Group Prime Path Bridge Program).
  • OR successful completion of a MedsCert Medical Assistant Program.
  • Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; some knowledge of medical terminology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months’ experience as a medical office assistant (MOA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months’ experience with an electronic health record.
