Job summary

Carolina-Asthma- in Eastover—Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for a non-exempt role that blends clinical and administrative duties. You will assist physicians, collect histories, perform basic clinical tasks, manage charts, and support patient flow across multiple clinic locations.

The role requires at least 1 year of MA experience, CPR certification, and compliance with health records/immunizations. Travel to various clinics within the company is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED, medical office assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, or a community college course in medical assisting.
• Experience: Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or externship completed in a medical office.
• Other Requirements: Current CPR certification and health records with immunizations; AMT or AAMA certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities including assisting physicians, charting, and patient flow management.
• Handles clerical duties like processing records, scheduling, and verifying demographics and insurance.
• Maintains infection control and cleans rooms, restocks supplies, and supports team operations.
• Adheres to patient rights, emergency codes, and communicates with supervisor on issues.
