Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a 6–12 month Medical Assisting course at an accredited school or 1–3 years MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness of equipment.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and perform vital measurements.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Record vital stats and patient information in the medical record.
• Assist clinician during exams and procedures with required instruments.
• Obtain specimens and handle lab requisitions per procedures.
• Perform ECGs as needed and maintain patient safety and comfort.
• Sterilize and calibrate equipment; report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Process registrations, insurance forms, prescriptions, and chart documentation.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments; handle phone inquiries and messaging.
