Job description

The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for assisting in the direct delivery of primary health care support and patient care management under the supervision of the Physician. Duties include assisting the physician with nursing care implementation, managing all aspects of the medical office, and potentially working in both front office and clinical areas. The MOA has full access to patient health information.

Schedule:

M-F 8a-5p

Location:

The MOA FLOAT will travel between all of the Iredell Physician Network clinics based on a schedule. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Clerical experience in scheduling, payments, billing/coding, medical records, and familiarity with medical office equipment. Proficient in business software and computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and strong customer service skills.
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Physical Demands:
  • Must have full body mobility to pass the basic FIT test, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
