The Institute for Family Health in New York is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to support the health team in patient care. Under the supervision of an LPN/RN, you will perform measurements, maintain charts, and assist with procedures while ensuring a clean exam area.
Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED and a certification from an accredited medical assistant program; BCLS and infection control certification are preferred.
Summary:
The Medical Office Assistant performs various duties as a member of the health team in the treatment and care of patients and their families and also assists with tasks to support the unit. The position works under the supervision of an LPN/RN. The Medical Office Assistant must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of human growth and development over the life span, ability to recognize data reflective of the patient’s status and inform the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse of observations.

Must be available for a Monday night rotation schedule: 11:30-8pm. Also needs to be available to cover ECHO Free clinic on Saturdays on a rotation. Schedule needed is 9-5:30pm
