Position Overview
In a clerical role, the Medical Office Assistant is the customer service liaison to each of our practices. The Medical Office Assistant greets each patient with courtesy and respect, using exceptional communication skills. The purpose of this position is to provide our patients with a seamless experience while following all UHS Policies regarding registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing. In a clinical role, the medical assistant performs patient care tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse and/or nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized healthcare provider.
Primary Department or Work Location: UHS Heart and Vascular Institute Johnson City
Work Shift And Schedule: This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as-needed, agreed-upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.
Compensation Range: $17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience
