Job summary

Roselle Center for Healing is seeking a Nutrition Specialist to collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy and monitor outcomes for medically complex patients. You will assess nutritional status using diet recall/history, labs, anthropometrics, and implement interventional strategies to improve patient care.

Provide nutrition education to patients and families, manage delivery of nutrition care services on assigned units, and ensure adherence to policies.

Qualifications

Essential: Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field.
Essential: 6 months of directly related experience.
Credentials: Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist registration or eligibility.
NM Lic Dietitian or Lic Nutritionist or Provisional License.
CPR for Healthcare/Basic Life Support within 30 days.
Advanced credentials from CDR, NBNSC or CBDE or Master’s in Nutrition or related may qualify for Specialist designation.

Responsibilities

Follow patient safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
Perform nutrition care: screening, assessments, and care plan development.
Monitor patients at nutrition risk and adjust care per evidence-based guidelines.
Direct the nutrition care team to ensure adherence to the care plan.
Identify, monitor, and evaluate effectiveness of enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
Provide care per professional standards and ethics.
Assess patient learning needs and provide nutrition education appropriate to literacy/cognition.
Collaborate with health care team in rounds, staff in-services, and teaching.
