Lincare Holdings Inc. is seeking a Medical Nutrition Spc - Remote to oversee enteral nutrition care for home tube-fed patients and related nutrition activities.

The role requires RD/RDN and a BS in Nutrition and/or Dietetics, with remote collaboration across physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals. Key duties include reviewing medical records, documenting and verifying nutrition orders, educating patients by phone when applicable, ensuring payer/commercial contract

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures such as proportions and percentages.
• Able to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and email communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote nutrition care and education via phone.
• Review medical records, physician orders, and labs for nutrition care.
• Verify enteral and oral nutrition orders for accuracy.
• Collaborate remotely with physicians, nurses, and other professionals.
• Ensure compliance with payer, Medicare/Medicaid, and contracts.
• Maintain patient information securely for care applications.
• Support clinical questions from customer service about enteral nutrition.
• Maintain productivity and documentation quality.

Job description

The Medical Nutrition Spc - Remote is responsible for all aspects of enteral nutrition care for the home tube fed patient and other medical nutrition related activities.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Recognizes and respects patient rights during the provision of care or services and conducting businessrelationships with patients and the public in an ethical manner
• Conducts nutritional assessments by reviewing medical records, physician orders, and laboratory results
• Provides nutrition education and counseling via phone when applicable
• Collaborates remotely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensures compliance with payer, Medicare/Medicaid, and contract requirements
• Participates in on-going education, including in-services, training, and other activities to maintain and improveindividual competence
• Obtains, utilizes, and updates patient information in a confidential and secure manner for utilization in patient care applications
• Verifies enteral and oral nutrition orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Maintains productivity standards while meeting documentation quality expectations
• Collaborates with nutritional vendors
• Coordinates with referral sources to obtain missing clinical documentation
• Supports customer service representatives with clinical questions related to enteral nutrition
• Responsible for On-call holiday rotations

Qualifications.

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and/or Dietetics from an accredited bythe Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics,Required

Work Experience

• One or more years of RD/RDN experience, Preferred
