Job summary

Franklin Primary Health Center, Inc. seeks a dedicated Mobile Unit Driver – Maintenance Technician to operate the Mobile Medical Unit and perform routine facility maintenance at clinical and administrative sites in Mobile, AL.

The role includes vehicle inspections, upkeep of supplies, site setup for outreach events, and assisting medical personnel at community events. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record and be comfortable performing basic maintenance

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate the Mobile Medical Unit safely and in accordance with all traffic laws.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and submit required inspection reports.
• Maintain the Mobile Medical Unit, equipment, and non-medical supplies.
• Ensure the vehicle remains clean, organized, and operational.
• Assist with outreach events and site setup.
• Support medical personnel during community events as needed.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry repairs as part of maintenance.

Position Summary

Franklin Primary Health Center is seeking a Mobile Unit Driver – Maintenance Technician to safely operate the Mobile Medical Unit while performing routine maintenance and repair duties for clinical and administrative facilities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Mobile Unit Driver

• Operate the Mobile Medical Unit safely and in accordance with all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and submit required inspection reports.
• Maintain the Mobile Medical Unit, equipment, and non-medical supplies.
• Ensure the vehicle remains clean, organized, and operational.
• Assist with outreach events and site setup.
• Support medical personnel during community events as needed.
• Maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver License and a safe driving record.

Maintenance

• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry repairs.
• Complete work orders and document repairs.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain tools and inventory.
• Report major repair needs to the Facilities Project Manager.
• Participate in facility inspections and safety initiatives.
