In this position, you will be responsible for conducting both physical and administrative inspections of medical marijuana organizations to assess operational status, completion of alterations, complaint resolution, and ongoing compliance with BMM regulations and laws. During inspections, you will evaluate security systems to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and observe various operational processes, including cultivation, harvesting, extraction, packaging, storage, transportation, handling, labeling, and distribution. You will utilize observation, investigation, and documentation to assess whether facility practices align with BMM guidelines and regulations. The role requires effective communication with a wide range of individuals, from entry-level employees to pharmacists, facility principals, legal counsel, and engineers, to analyze information and collaborate on compliance outcomes. You will work both independently and collaboratively to plan and complete assigned inspections. Additionally, you will demonstrate an understanding of the needs of vulnerable populations served by these organizations, advocating for resources, communication strategies, services, and policies that support health equity.
Travel for this position is within Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Somerset, Venango, Warren, Washington, and Westmoreland counties.
