Tressler LLP in California is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4 years of experience to join our California Litigation Practice Group. The role focuses on medical malpractice defense and handling complex matters in state and federal court.

This hybrid position offers opportunities to lead depositions, draft substantive motions, and collaborate with partners, clients, and insurers on high‑exposure healthcare litigation.

A strong writing and analytical background is essential.

Qualifications

• 4 years of litigation experience focusing on medical malpractice defense and elder care matters.
• Active California bar admission; federal court admissions in Central/Southern Districts preferred.
• Experience taking and defending depositions; expert depositions preferred.
• Strong writing, analytical and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of complex medical malpractice and healthcare litigation in state and federal court.
• Defend healthcare providers, hospitals, physicians and long-term care facilities.
• Take and defend depositions; manage written discovery.
• Draft and argue motions, including summary judgment and summary adjudication.
• Participate in client meetings, hearings, mediations, and related proceedings in California.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, experts, and insurers on high-exposure matters.
