Significant ongoing business volume with consistent billable opportunities.

roughly 40-50 attorneys in Miami office, around 80 in total across all offices - multiple offices across south Florida

Competitive Salary 100-150k for up to 5th years 5-10th years 150-200k

Bonuses & Compensation Structure

Objective, formula-based bonus system (not discretionary).

Calculated using fees collected and annual salary.

10% of first $100K collected, 15% of the second $100, 20% of the next $100K+.

Origination bonus: 10% of revenue from originated cases (regardless of involvement).

Quarterly associate bonus: $1,500 per quarter ($6K annually) for staying on track with billables.

Job Details

3+ years of medical malpractice litigation experience required.

Law firm has an immediate opening for an experienced (3+ years) Medical Malpractice Attorney. Responsibilities include providing legal analysis and advice, preparing and filing legal pleadings and documents, performing legal research, preparing for and conducting pre-trial discovery, preparing for and conducting administrative and judicial hearings, civil jury trials and post-trial activities. Must be admitted in Florida.

Clear path to partnership:

• Each May, associates are invited to apply for Partner, and partners can apply for Equity Partner.
• The Management Committee reviews all partnership applications.
• For highly senior lateral hires, partnership can be pre-negotiated or candidates can apply in the next annual cycle.

Billable Expectations

• Insurance Defense: 2,000 hours annually.
• Commercial Litigation: 1,850 hours annually.
• Associates regularly meet targets - ample workload and client demand.
